You rest it — the pain comes back
Weeks off, careful stretching, maybe a foam roller. It feels better… until you train again. Rest treats the symptom, not the cause.

“I came to Diana after a knee injury, terrified to squat again. Now it's my favourite lift.”
“She actually explains the why behind every exercise. No gimmicks, no fads — just steady progress.”
“Postpartum, I didn't recognize my own body. Six months later I'm stronger than before pregnancy.”
“At 62 I'd accepted stiffness as permanent. Diana proved me wrong within a couple of months.”
“My desk-job shoulders were wrecked. Three months in, I'm pain-free at the keyboard and in the gym.”
“Diana spotted a movement issue two other professionals had missed. Worth every single session.”
Most people don’t need more willpower. They need a plan that accounts for their body, their history, and their pain.
Weeks off, careful stretching, maybe a foam roller. It feels better… until you train again. Rest treats the symptom, not the cause.
Same weights, same routine, same nagging aches — for months. Working harder isn't the answer when the plan wasn't built for your body.
Programs from the internet were written for someone else's body and history. Effort without direction is how small issues become injuries.
Pain isn’t a life sentence — it’s information. With the right assessment and a plan built around your body, you can train hard and feel good doing it.
The method
A simple, evidence-based process — the same one every client goes through, adapted to where you’re starting from.
We start with a full movement screen and pain history — not a workout. Finding the root cause comes before fixing anything.
You get a program built around your body, your goals, and your schedule — not a template pulled off a shelf.
We train together in person in Saskatoon. Technique, load, and intensity are managed session by session, so you progress without setbacks.
We measure what matters — strength, range of motion, pain levels — and adjust the plan based on data, not guesswork.

Meet the trainer
I’m a Saskatoon-based personal trainer who specializes in one thing: helping people who hurt get strong again. Desk workers with stubborn backs, new moms rebuilding their core, adults over 55 who refuse to slow down, and athletes coming back from injury.
I built PainFreeDiana because I kept meeting people who’d been told to “just rest” or “stop lifting” — advice that keeps you comfortable and keeps you weak. The research is clear: the right movement, dosed correctly, is one of the best treatments for persistent pain. That’s what we do here.
Assessment before exercise. Nobody gets a workout on day one. Understanding how you move — and why it hurts — comes first.
Evidence over trends. No detox teas, no six-week miracles. Just principles backed by research on pain science and strength training.
Train around pain, not through it. Pain is a signal to adjust, not a badge of honour. You'll keep making progress while your body heals.
Common questions
Free consultation
The consultation is free, and there’s no obligation. Here’s what it includes:
A 30-minute one-on-one conversation. In person in Saskatoon or over a free video call if you're going the online route — whichever is easier for you.
Movement & pain-history assessment. We look at how you move and where it hurts, so recommendations are based on your body — not a questionnaire.
A personalized plan outline. You leave knowing exactly what your first 4 weeks would look like, whether you train with me or not.
An honest recommendation. If personal training isn't what you need right now, I'll tell you — and point you toward what is.
